Help & Support

What is Cobble Gobble?

A cozy walking game. Pick a city, and every street of its Old Town becomes a line of dots you collect by walking it. Finish a street and it lights up gold on your map. Landmarks are fruit bonuses. There's no pressure — no timers, no streaks, nothing to lose. The score only goes up.

Do I have to look at my phone?

No — that's the whole idea. Keep the phone in your pocket; sound carries the game. Spoken updates reads each street, fruit, and level-clear aloud — it's on automatically if you use VoiceOver, Speak Screen, or Speak Selection, and you can switch it on or off any time in Settings. Haptics add a gentle tap on each event when the app is open. Nothing on screen ever needs your attention.

Does it work offline?

Yes. A city you own plays fully offline — walk it with no signal.

Which cities are there?

Old Towns right across Europe, and new ones every week. The full list is on the home page. Your first city is free.

Free city and purchases.

You can claim any one city as your free one. Every further city is a one-time purchase — yours to keep, Family Sharing included. New phone? Open Settings ▸ Restore Purchases.

Why does it ask for location “Always”?

So the game can notice you've started walking a city and begin collecting dots without you having to open it first — the point is you don't fiddle with the phone. Your location is used only on your device to see which streets you've walked. It is never uploaded. See my Privacy Policy.

A street won't mark as complete.

A street completes at about 90% of its dots (GPS is noisy at corners, so I don't demand 100%). If your signal dropped in a narrow alley, use Mark as walked — you get full credit for the whole street, no penalty.

Battery.

Active play is designed to be light on battery; when you're not walking a city, the game is dormant and uses effectively none.

Accessibility.

Cobble Gobble is built to be played without looking. It supports VoiceOver, spoken narration that turns on automatically with VoiceOver/Speak Screen/Speak Selection (and respects your VoiceOver speaking rate), a non-visual “Nearby streets” list with spoken distances and directions — where you can also mark a street walked or report it — plus Dynamic Type and WCAG-AA contrast. English and German. See my accessibility page.

Found a wrong street on the map?

Tap Report a map problem in the app — it opens a pre-filled email you send yourself. I fix reported maps and push updates.
